HOLY CRAP THURSDAY'S

i'm slowly getting good at working a mac but holy crap i suck at cell phones.  have you ever called my cell?, if you know me well enough, you know NOT to call it, you know the odds are good (99.99% of a chance) that it will ring it's "elevator chant" in my office or deep in a purse i used 4 days ago, it WILL go to voicemail and i WILL listen (eventually)to it BUT i WILL NOT call you back on it (disclaimer...too my lovely clients i will always call you back BUT probably NOT on my cell phone!).  i have tried to "use it" like all you cool folk but well i suck,  holy crap i suck at keeping it with me or just using it for that matter. now it's just a joke...look at it, i might as well use the brick unit from the 80's that's in our halloween tickle trunk. as a matter a fact that would be "cooler" to pull out of my purse than this one.  did i mention the voicemail notification sounds like bad porn music?  really telus, come now...you got nothing better?  i was on a "plan" ONCE but that ended up costing us a RIDICULOUS amount of cash, so pay and talk it is!

i think i just don't enjoy being tracked down, in this day and age you can find anyone, anytime...perhaps it's my inner knotty self saying " no way folks...you can't find me today, i'm free as can be (minus the four year old holding my leg screaming for a snack wanting to play doggie in the local costco) yep... like a bird shackled to a long roped poll, free as can be!"  or maybe it's the fact that i have two girls that talk NON STOP and i'd prefer email (at times), or maybe i was in a witness protection program in a past life.

none the less, it's a weird "dinaism" and it's going to stay like this for a while!

centennial beach, nice to meet you!

i have been meaning to check out this so called "fantastic  beach" out for at least a year but well when you have two rock'n beaches right by you the thought of traveling a half hour seems a wee bit silly, none the less, on a whim (or more like the kids were in my hair all afternoon) we set off on the adventure (sunday june 10th, 2o12).  i had directions (made by meself...lol...in other words useless!), buckets, non beach attire (the weather has sucked so why would we dress in shorts when it's cold in june) and the third child came along (the camera). we had a bet on the tide (we thought would be high), we also had a bet whether or  not we would actually get there (you can guess what happened) and that evolved into a rendition of down by the bay (words changed to: down by boundary bay, where the sand dollars grow, back to my home i dare not go, for if i do my husband might say " can't you read a map to get back on track"...LOL!).   we arrive and it's LOW tide (score), were in love.  the park is wonderful, though we didn't go for that today... sand dollars was the treasure we were seeking to find!.

i'm slowly trying to remove the "bubble wrap" that i have around my children.

today was:

go ahead and put your a** on the toilet seat at the public washroom (HUGE DEAL).

next was going in the water "as is"...with no towels or spare clothes.

...as you can see it was a hit.

as for centennial beach, we shall meet again...sooner then later my pretty!

worth the wait...

jen redlick was the winner of last years "random beauty" photography contest and this lady is a trooper!  she has been battling cancer this past year and we can safely say she's now a cancer survivor (can i get a hell ya!).  so folks this is why it's taken a year to arrange her shoot because to be perfectly frank i wanted jen to feel beautiful in her own skin.  so jen and i arranged a deal, when she was ready she would let me know...so may 2012 it is! the shoot was at white rock beach *jen's pick* which i love btw and it was PACKED...i believe it was one of the only hot days we had in may (boo right!).  jen is a freak'n character, i loved her energy, her beautiful, sarcastic self (which i can relate to) and most of all, that tuff ass sole.

jen you are wonderful. thank you.

BTW your "smizing" rocked!
