Journal Entry No 10. | Klutch Photography | Vancouver family Photographer

i'm quite emotionally attached to my session photos, their my art, my craft, i feel what a parent would feel to see them (joy and love) but this session (like two others i've captured in the past) brought me to tears as i edited them.

this one was happy tears, not like the other two.

this little girl you see, this powerful, strong little girl is fighting cancer and  winning!

i've known this crew for a while and watched her journey this past year. a HARD journey on all of them and yet they are shiny stars of love and positivity.

today, i sit humbled at your strength little girl and yours mom and yours big sister and yours dad. truly humbled.

so today folks, when someone cuts you off in traffic or the starbucks line is REALLY long and you're mad and frustrated remember this little girls smile because today she's fighting cancer and you're not.

we have a choice to be positive. what will you choose today??

CHANGE.  not everyone likes it...including this little nugget. she's been pretty negative after school these days and well, that really brings everyone down!

so we've started a new "thing" you have to say two great things about your day before you say anything "un-positive" about it.

it's hard for an eight year olds brain to understand that change is constant, life never static and that you really do need to go down stream in life, instead of fighting the up stream currents of life

Storm chasing | Klutch Photography | Vancouver family photographer

as the worst wind and rain storm in 50 years (so they're saying) thunders down upon us, most folks are making the right choice in getting cozy with a hot cup of coco and a good movie!

not us.

we get inappropriately dressed, and hit the ocean for a photo session!  Perhaps it's that I'm pissed off that I had to reschedule a full day of quickie sessions tomorrow because of this beastly wind and rain that got me (and my camera) all fired up to do battle with it this evening or maybe its just to add another layer to the girls onions. probably both! either way, it was memorable.

Blackie Spit was about 50% washed out, it was an incredible site.
