do your kids snoop? mine do!  not in a bad way but in a curious way and in perticularly in my room in their main snooping grounds. i think its the "you never know what your going to find" looking through "mom's stuff" and whithout getting into to much detailI'm glad they havn't found "that box" if you know what I mean. yikes!

today she (amara) found an early xmas present under the bed. lol. oh well i suppose, i really didn't hide it well from my little curious snoop. 

i love that she loves it. just a earlier then planned.

honestly though, were the hell do you hide a four foot stuffed snake!

Hands up, if a new sport your kid is in is making you shift your life. Example-volleyball club takes up all holiday weekends, yikes! Well, life is not static, we're adjusting and trying to work with it. Is she loving it, yup. Happy Easter y'all!

i don't always pick up my kiddo's from their class's at school but this week being the first week back i've done the foot service pick up with a small treat...i know right, i'm tarnishing my "bad mom" title here (side note: go see that movie-it's priceless!).

man their getting so old now, che' (my 10 year old daughter) looks like a teen in this shot.  amara ( my 8 year old daughter) in this image is my calm through the storm...which pick up feels like this week (a storm)- all the grade 3's leave from one class (and there's four class's with over 20 kids per class...so 80 kids out one door! yikes.)

i love that their calm and happy... thus far!  aaaannndnd that they don't get all "mom, your embarrasing me!" when i bring the camera to school and get in their grill.

my kids don't own a phone, ipod,  ipad....or a computer.  their 10 (soon to be 11) and 8. 

why the fuck should they!?  they're kids!?

steve jobs (the co-founder & CEO of apple) had a low tec family. why? because technology & kids (in large quantities) don't mix well and i agree!  numerous studies have shown this to be true and to be perfectly honest...it's hard enough monitoring tv time and the xbox- let alone fighting over hand help MOBILE devices.

here's the thing, your a kid...GO PLAY OUTSIDE!

or draw,  or play red rover, go jump on your tram(oline), go play with your friends...and yes CALL them on the PHONE, you know that thing that's connected to the wall by wires!

and guess what- they did, with no real complaints...they rocked their low-tec summer like a boss. i absolutely love their child like imaginations and wonder without it being technology fuelled. yes, they got into boat loads of trouble and it was all good trouble, kids exploring their world trouble! i'll take that any day over a quiet plugged in child zombie.

my kids will have MANY years to use technology but sadly they only have a few years left to just be children doing child like things!
