Here’s a crazy truth, you’ll be spending the rest of your life with yourself, the original ” soul mate”, your only “true partner”, your “forever person” ❤️ So boost yourself with loving words, positive encouragement and thoughts of appreciation… you deserve it.

Need some help, go to Pinterest and you will literally FIND thousands of inspirational affirmations and easy ideas to keep you loving the hardest. The best part, these can be done under your breath if your having a hard day, in a fight with a partner or your children.

Wake up and start chanting these like morning prayers, all dam day!

REPOST FROM 2011...

've been told by a few folks that the type of girlfriends i keep company with are for a lack of better words "random", my response to this is "your absolutely correct".  i have a group, a village, a posse....some might even call it a gaggle of unique, interesting and sometimes odd friends! these beautiful ladies all offer "me" many different "things". the example i like to use is a "handyman" wouldn't just use a philps screw driver and a hammer to get the job done..heck no! that man sized toolbox would have a wack load of tools. these tools are useful in many different situations and never let you down when you need them! i dina ferreira stoddard have a "big girl toolbox" of girlfriends! most of my girlies have one to four of these qualities mixed together... BUT  they have one really specific quality that i relate too most!

here's the TOOL BOX  breakdown;

Q.A.F (quality advice friend)

this is the chick you go to for real good, non bias advice. she is your unpaid shrink and sound barrier!

S.L.F (shop  lot'sfriend)

i personally have a hybrid of this friend in many but some of us have just the S.L.F and she is the one you take to the states once or twice a year.

D.A.F (drink anytime friend)

this friend is usually a holdback from the 90's but man we still dig this chick. you can call this dame and mention "blender" and her response is "i'm in". you enjoy her company because it reminds you of the good old times (you know, when you were thin and had no other worries besides what was going to be your mix that night!)  you call her when your children have put you over the edge and when the hubby gets yet ANOTHER free hockey game ticket.

T. C. F (the crazy  friend) you can fill in the blanks (somehow i think i might fall into this category?)

S.U.F (straight up friend)

shout out to my girl sara!  sara is my SUF.  sara will tell it to you straight up, no holds barred ...whether you like what she is saying or not. it's sometimes an "ouch" like conversation but it reminds me of a band aid, hurts for a moment but your happy you got it over with! i call her for the brutal honest truth.

H.A.F (hot A** friend)

this work of art can hook you up with great service anywhere, no line ups and they usually are your human form of a fashion magazine for what's hot...in other words a fashionista!

T.F (tech friend)

the first call you make when you tec devises goes down. she will always ask the right questions like "have you checked the battery" and "did you first try turning it off and back on again"!  this hot "tech nerd" is always willing to help!

A.A.F (amazing artistic friend)

there's not much she can't do! she reads it or watch's it being done and then does it herself! (and well might i add).

E.B.F (eneregizer bunny friend)

batteries are never removed!! She never stops and ALWAYS get's the job done!

E.O.F (emotional overload friend)

sniff, sniff...she's your need a good cry kind of gal! you watch the sappy, tear jerker type movies and share the sad stuff with this special soul!

T. H. F (tree hugger friend)

this earth friendly, friend is the one you call when you need a good "natural" recipe for cleaning your sink.  You'd love to be her but you can't imagine life without deodorant, but you love what she stands for!

L. M. A. O. F (laugh my a** off friend)

this is the friend that missed they're calling as a stand up comedian!  you love their witty  humour and you laugh so hard sometimes that tears run down your legs (if your reading this and have had children naturally.. you'll get it.  if not disregard that last statement!)  she makes the party roar...

S. M. S .F (social media savvy friend)

from facebook, twitter, linkedin  and  N.Q.S.S www.notquitesouthsurrey.com she's got it covered!  she knows the person, who knows the person, who knows THAT person...in other words this chick is hooked up with what's going down around town.  shall we call "them" the "source".

well the list could go on forever but my favorite is:

B.F.F (best friend forever)

they get this tittle because they are a combo of most of your toolbox, or can morf into each one as needed! they will help anytime, listen at any hour, wake you up when you should have been doing your drafting homework, hunt you down a drink, find t.p from another stall for you, shop till you both drop or till the border guards walk off the job and you have to stay in blaine till 1 am on a sunday night, pack up your house, change your babies diapers (not just the pee ones), they love you fat or thin, will agree with why your husband is in the wrong EVERYTIME, they will tell someone off for you, eat your food and say it was GREAT, she cry's the ugly tears as much as the happy ones together type of friend!

to all the beautiful ladies I reference in this post, I LOVE YOU ALL and may your "toolbox" be filled with lots of wonderfully useful "tools"!

so heart breaking that our girls didn't win, but i have to say christine sinclaire is top shelf through and through.

i can't imagine the sadness, frustration and exhaustion she must have felt after this quarter final loss, as she left the arena she stopped to sign an enormous amount of autographs for her (mostly younger) fans.  that to me is so classy! way to be a strong, athletic role model for this younger generation of girls!  AND to show them how to lose with grace. can't say that about some of her other canadian team members who didn't do the same thing, some of them just walked away from the kids begging for their autograph. boo right!

che' & amara (my daughters) are dwarfed in this picture, lost at the front, in the sea of fans, it worked because che got her favorite player's autograph (can you guess which one), dream come true for her!

**** below is my video montage experience while vancouver hosted FIFA world cup 2015 (the stoddard's & friends experience, that is). the upper bowl was a mia tia cocktail of pot, sweat from the slip off your plastic seat heat and some odd couple front row colour commentary. the kids heard some interesting things, that's for sure. i know what your all thinking...no way possible dina, your the queen of the "colourful language"! nope, i kept it together and only said shit about four times. not in the video of course. not bad right!? you will however here me screaming (a fair amount) ! ***
